ThunderCore Mainnet Migration: Action Required Before September 1, 2026

Community Vote Passed – Kick off of the Migration

Now that the proposal to migrate from ThunderCore mainnet to the BSC chain has passed, we are writing to explain what happens next and what actions you may need to take.

Key Dates and Actions

  • 2026-08-28 (from UTC 00:00 to UTC 24:00): ThunderBridge cross-chain bridges wind down. Users who hold ThunderBridge assets on ThunderCore mainnet after this time would migrate them through thundercore.com after the final block of ThunderCore mainnet.
  • 2026-09-01 (from UTC 00:00 to UTC 24:00): ThunderCore mainnet produces its final block. No further transactions, blocks, or smart-contract activity will occur on ThunderCore mainnet after this point.
  • Before 2026-09-01 UTC 00:00: Withdraw any assets held in ThunderCore mainnet smart contracts to an externally owned wallet — see “Action Required: Withdraw Smart Contract Assets Before the Final Block” below.
  • Before 2026-09-01 UTC 00:00: If you hold TT on an exchange or custodial platform, confirm with that platform whether and how your balance will be migrated — see “Exchange Support May Vary: Check With Your Platform” below.
  • After 2026-09-01 UTC 00:00: Track your migration status and get support at thundercore.com. Support is expected to remain available for approximately three months after the final block.

Action Required: Withdraw Smart Contract Assets Before the Final Block

If you have assets in a smart contract on ThunderCore mainnet, withdraw them to an externally owned wallet address (i.e., a regular wallet, not a smart contract) before ThunderCore mainnet’s final block on 2026-09-01.

This is necessary because a smart contract deployed at the same address on a different chain may be controlled by a different party. ThunderCore cannot assume that a contract address on Binance Smart Chain is controlled by the same owner who controlled it on ThunderCore mainnet.

As a result, any assets still held in a smart contract at ThunderCore mainnet’s final block not be eligible for automatic migration Manual migration may require a time-consuming case-by-case technical review and cannot be guaranteed. We strongly urge all users and Dapp developers with assets in ThunderCore mainnet smart contracts to withdraw them to an externally owned wallet before the final block.

How Your Assets Will be Migrated

The migration period is expected to run for approximately three months after ThunderCore mainnet’s final block during which the migration interface and user assistance would be supported.

Official BEP20-TT Contract Address: Verify Before You Transact

BEP20-TT is the existing official TT representation on the Binance Smart Chain, at contract address: 0x990E7154bB999FAa9b2fa5Ed29E822703311eA85. We recommend independently verifying this address before initiating any transaction.

Snapshot Time: When Your Balance Is Measured

The snapshot used to determine BEP20-TT eligibility and staking-settlement amounts is ThunderCore mainnet’s final block, expected on 2026-09-01 (from UTC 00:00 to 24:00). Balances and positions are measured as of that block, not at any earlier or later time.

Conversion Path by Asset Type

Only TT, veTT, and ThunderBridge-backed assets are covered.

TT on ThunderCore mainnet (ordinary wallet balances / veTT staking positions)

Wallet balances (externally owned addresses): Balances of 5,000 TT or more would be automatically migrated as BEP20-TT at the identical address on Binance Smart Chain. Balances below 5,000 TT would require manual migration by the holder, through a website linked from https://www.thundercore.com

veTT staking positions: Each position would be settled at exactly the amount the “leave” function of the PoS staking contract would transfer at the final block, including any amount already-unstaked and waiting to be withdrawn. Staking rewards stop once the chain stops producing blocks.

ERC20-TT on Ethereum

The Ethereum-side pegged TT token would be permanently frozen at a block before the final block of ThunderCore mainnet, and those balances would be migrated to Binance Smart Chain as BEP20-TT.

ThunderBridge-backed assets on ThunderCore

Holders would manually migrate the underlying ThunderBridge-backed asset to its source chain, not a ThunderCore representation of it. Native tokens will be migrated in their wrapped forms e.g. ETH as WETH and BNB as WBNB.

For TT, ERC20-TT, and ThunderBridge-backed assets, smart-contract balances are not migrated automatically.

Third-party tokens and NFTs issued on ThunderCore are not covered.

Tokens and NFTs issued by third parties remain the responsibility of their issuers, and their on-chain state would not be preserved after block production ends. Holders of such assets should contact their issuers and withdraw any underlying value before the final block.

Exchange Support May Vary: Check With Your Platform

Not every exchange or custodial platform that lists TT is able to support the BEP20-TT conversion described above, and platforms that do support it may apply their own deposit and withdrawal deadlines that differ from the dates in this notice. ThunderCore does not control, and is not responsible for, the migration policies, timelines, or asset-support decisions of any third-party platform.

  • Contact the exchange or platform where you hold TT directly and ask whether and how your balance will be migrated to BEP20-TT.
  • Ask whether the platform has its own deadline for deposits or withdrawals of TT, which may be earlier than the dates in this notice.
  • If you cannot get a clear confirmation, consider withdrawing your TT to a self-custodied wallet before ThunderCore mainnet’s final block on 2026-09-01.

Rely on Official ThunderCore Communication Channels

We will link to a website for users to query the status of their asset migrations and reach support from htttps://www.thundercore.com

ThunderCore will never ask you for your private keys, seed phrase, or wallet password, and will never ask you to send funds to a third-party address to “verify” or “unlock” a migration. Please only rely on information published through official ThunderCore channels.
