To everyone who has been with ThunderCore,
For weeks, we treated Upbit’s and Bithumb’s review as a top priority: answering questions, providing documents, and doing everything we could throughout the exchanges’ review process. Despite these efforts, Upbit and Bithumb have announced that trading support for ThunderCore Token (TT) will end on September 14, 2026.
This was not the outcome we expected. It is deeply disappointing for our team and community.
ThunderCore Has Continued to Operate
ThunderCore has operated continuously since 2019, sustained by our users, builders, partners, and community.
2025 and 2026 have been difficult years across the digital asset industry. Our approach was to keep working, and the network has run without technical or security issues throughout. At a time when this work is still moving forward, it is especially difficult to see a long-running EVM-compatible PoS network face the end of trading support on both exchanges.
As of this statement, ThunderCore mainnet continues to operate normally.
Context Around the Review
In addition to our good-faith cooperation throughout the process, plans relevant to TT, including changes to issuance, network parameters, and token economics, were publicly communicated and carried out through established governance, review, and decision-making processes.
We also made sure the exchanges had this information, both through our public communications and throughout the review process itself.
How the Review Concluded
We were therefore surprised by public characterizations that, in our view, did not fully reflect the information and context we had provided.
We were also not provided with a clear explanation of how the matters raised during the review were ultimately weighed in reaching the final decision to end trading support.
We Are Evaluating the Path Forward
This decision by the exchanges will inevitably have a significant impact. The team is carefully assessing the implications and the available paths forward. We will share further information once the next steps are ready to be communicated responsibly.
